First Aid And CPR Training

The American Heart Association Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. There is no course completion card available for this course, however we do offer an American Heart Association Certificate of Completion. 

This class is designed for Family & Friends CPR is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools and students, and others interested in learning how to save a life, but is not appropriate for healthcare providers.

This class is 2 hours and includes a certificate of completion and a student handbook. Cost is $35

Heartsaver 1st Aid is a video-based, instructor-led course designed for the general public and those with little or no medical training. Skills covered in this course include how to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive, the duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers, and first aid actions for medical emergencies including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke as well as skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.  Upon successful completion of the course, including a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid course completion card, valid for two years  

Class Options

Blended Learning  courses are completed online at your convenience and a skills check may be scheduled to complete your certification. To sign up for a blended Heartsaver 1st Aid course, please click here. After completing the online portion, please print your certificate and contact us to schedule an in-person skills check.  The online portion of the course  is approximately 3.5 hours online and costs $20, the skills check must be completed in person on an as needed basis and costs $45 and includes your First Aid Only certification card fee, valid for 2 years. Payments for each class must be made separately. 

 In Person Classes are approximately 3 hours including breaks. Cost for an in person, group class is $75 and includes a completion card valid for 2 years.. Classes typically have 4-6 students, but may be scheduled for a group of your choosing (co-workers, friends, etc) by contacting us for available scheduling. A student handbook is provided for each student. Course completion card is suitable for most workplace requirements.

Heartsaver CPR AED Course is a video-based, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely, and effective manner.  Upon successful completion of the course, including a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years

Classes typically have 4-6 students, but may be scheduled for a group of your choosing (co-workers, friends, etc) by contacting us for available scheduling. A student handbook is provided for each student. Course completion card is suitable for most workplace requirements.

   Basic Life Support (Heartcode BLS) is a high-performance CPR certification that is designed for medical professionals as well as teachers, coaches, bus drivers, life guards, school nurses and more. Topics include scene assessment, rescue breathing, foreign body airway obstruction, and adult/child/infant CPR and AED for both team and single rescuer applications.

 The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens was designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as :

• Childcare workers
• Security guards
• Maintenance workers
• School personnel
• Hotel housekeepers
• Health and fitness club staff, and
• Tattoo artists

 In Person Class is approximately 1 hour. Cost for an in person, group class is $45 and includes a certificate of completion that may be presented to an employer. Written examinations are available upon request. Classes typically have 4-6 students, but may be scheduled for a group of your choosing (co-workers, friends, etc) by contacting us for available scheduling.
