Safe@Home

  Designed for students in grades 4-6, Safe@Home is designed to prepare students for their first steps towards independence and to be safe when they are home alone. 

 Safe@Home classes teach students how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with  dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies.

  Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

  Safe@Home is a  1.5 hour class and costs $20   A Safe@Home student booklet is included for each student.   

  Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The Instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises.   Safe Sitter® classes teach students how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies, tips to manage behavior that will help them stay in control of themselves and the children in their care as well as the ages and stages of child development, with practice diapering, First Aid & Rescue Skills such as choking rescue and and a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and  Safe Sitter®  

Class options are: Safe Sitter® Essentials, Safe Sitter® Essentials with CPR and Safe Sitter® Expanded.

 Safe Sitter® Essentials is a 5 1/2 hour course designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor led class is filled with fun games, and role playing exercises that teach students safety skills, childcare skills,  first aid and rescue skills and life and business skills.

Safe Sitter® Essentials is a 5 1/2 hour class. 

The cost $65 and includes a  Student Handbook and Completion Card, and Important Information notepad and a  Safe Sitter® pencil.

 Safe Sitter® Essentials with CPR is an expanded version of the  Safe Sitter® Essentials course and has an additional hour to allow for CPR training and practice.  Our CPR program follows the American Heart Association's Family and Friends CPR material and is taught by an American Heart Association Certified Instructor. 

 Safe Sitter® Essentials is a 6 1/2 hour class. The cost $75 and includes a  Student Handbook and Completion Card, a pocket first aid kit and a  Safe Sitter® pencil. An optional AHA Family and Friends CPR certificate of participation is available for students who successfully complete the course.

  Safe Sitter® Expanded is a 2 day course s for young teens in grades 6-8 who are ready to learn the skills they need to care for themselves and younger children.

In addition, Safe Sitter® teaches young teens life and business skills, so that they know how to be prepared, be responsible, and be considerate whether they are babysitting or doing odd jobs for family, friends, or neighbors.

 Safe Sitter® Expanded is an 11 hour class that is split up over two days.

The cost is $125 and includes a Safe Sitter® Kit (Includes a Safe Sitter® cinch bag,  a Student Handbook and Completion Card, LED Flashlight, Bandage Dispenser, and Important Information Notepad and pencil. )
